How-To: Install & Configure YesPay Easy VTerminal with Premier Retail


To configure YesPay and set up the Easy VTerminal on a machine for credit card processing follow the steps below;

  • Download Yes-Pay Easy Terminal. (EasyVterminal-version-2.2.1.1.msi or EasyVterminal-version-2.1.6.1.msi)
  • Double-click the setup to begin installation of the terminal.


  • After installation completes, go to the application directory. Default is ‘C:\YESEFT’.
  • Locate the ‘EMBOSS-Setup.bat’ file and double-click it. If using Vista or Windows 7, grant administrator privileges to the file before executing.
  • When prompted for instance press Enter without providing any value or Enter 0.


  • Next you will be prompted for the Merchant Id. Enter the Id supplied to you or for testing purposes you can use the Test Merchant Id 23. Hit Enter.



  • Enter the Terminal Id provided to you or use 22980045 for testing purposes. Hit Enter.

  • The program will process the supplied values and initialize YesPay settings and variables. After a few seconds you should get a ‘Completed’ message. Hit Enter to close the command prompt window.

 

  • Locate and double-click the ‘YesEFTConfig.exe’ file.

  • This will bring up YesPay’s Easy VTerminal’s configuration program. From the General tab, set the Pin Pad configuration to the pad being used. If no Pad is attached to the machine yet, set it to ‘No Card Reader’. Additionally you can set the port on which the device is connected at, disable cancellation of payment, as well as the timeout period.

 
  • From the Interfacing tab select Socket communication and set the Port on which the Easy VTerminal should be configured on.\

  • Switch to the Receipt tab and configure if to print a receipt or not and the printer to print to.

 


  • Click on the Apply button to save the changes and Ok to close out of the configuration application.
  • Locate and double-click the ‘YesEFTInterface.exe’ file. This will start the Easy VTerminal. If it does not start property, run the ‘StartEFT.bat’ file instead.


  • Once the terminal is initialized, you should see an icon in the task bar. Right-click it and click on Show.


  • The Easy VTerminal window should be displayed. Right-Click the icon in the taskbar again and select Hide to hide the window.

  • Congratulations you have now set up YesPay Easy VTerminal on your system.

Configure Premier Retail

Now that the Easy VTerminal is set up and running on your machine, you need to configure Premier Retail to use the YesPay payment gateway for credit card processing. To do this set the two configuration options as detailed below:

  • Locate the ‘Payment Gateway – Service Provider’ configuration located under the Gateway Settings subcategory in the Credit Cards category. From the list of service providers, select Yes Pay. Click on Update to apply changes.


  • Click the ‘Payment Gateway – YesPay Terminal Port’ configuration and specify the port on which the Easy VTerminal is configured to run. If no port is specified, Premier Retail defaults the value to 10000.



Congratulations. You are now set up to use Premier Retail with YesPay’s Easy VTerminal for credit card processing.
